Results from the August races
That wraps up another season of racing at Mini-AZ. This was our first time running the ATM and F1 series along with the AZGT. It was great fun and a great deal of racing in one day. Starting next season (October) we'll be adding a fourth series to the lineup for Open Class cars! So four chances to race, score points, and win trophies.
Congratulations to all the drivers that ran the 2008 season, and particularly to our podium winners, Brad, Hood, Bill, Dusty, and DJ. Brad took the biggest haul of Bling, so extra congratulations to him for consistently superb driving. And a very big thanks to DJ for opening up the use of his shop to us so much.
Spikey Paulie joined us for the AZGT and F1 rounds running very fast for his first time out, even setting fastest lap in the 1hr Le Mans! I look forward to seeing him challenge for victories in the 2009 campaign.
The 2009 Sporting Regulations will be posted soon, and I look forward to racing with you all again when the new season begins in October. Don't forget the PN World Cup Arizona Regional is September 27th and the OLPS continues September 13th.
